Don't worry! Try to keep clothing as neutral as possible (earth tones work great) with no bright colours or pictures/logos. Colours that work best are black, browns, beiges, whites, creams, greens, navy and greys. Try on your clothes beforehand to ensure you feel comfortable, you don't want to be feeling agitated or distracted with a loose strap or something 'not feeling quite right' on the day. Colour co-ordinating or keeping a theme with everyone also works really well. Keeping to this will ensure your photographs are timeless, something you can hang on the wall for a long time.

You absolutely don't need to be, don't panic. I will try my best to make you feel comfortable and relaxed, giving gentle guidance when needed. It is best to create the session around some type of activity or doing something in the environment (eg. looking for shells on the beach, finding sticks, making coffee together, etc). The first 10/15 minutes will just be casual to ensure you feel comfortable, that way we aren't 'forcing' anything. It also enables me to capture natural & raw emotions.

Props are always more than welcome if you wish to have them, I want to capture whatever it is you have envisioned, whether that be a blanket, picnic, flowers, a chair you really love - bring it along! For newborns it's always helpful to have a blanket, form of soother and milk on hand. If small children are being photographed I always recommend having a neutral toy or raisins/mini marshmallows for them to snack on to bring them a sense of comfort and keep them happy. Avoid chocolate though, although it seems a great idea I promise you it isn't!

I know the anticipation can be unbearable, but I promise it's worth it! Your images will be sent to you through a personal online gallery up to 4 weeks after your shoot. Your gallery will be available for 6 weeks so please download and save your images in a safe and secure place.
